Born in Ashville, NC in 1947. Grew up in the city of Chicago. Graduated from Morton East High School, Cicero Ill. in 1966. Came to Los Angeles in June of 1966 with a rock & roll band. Two years later joined the US Air Force and spent 4 years in Austin Texas. It was during this time in Austin (1970), that Fred began working for the Austin Ambulance Co.
Between 1972 and 1975 Fred spent 2 years working in the Chief Special Agents Office for Pacific Telephone and several of the local ambulance companies. In 1973, he attended Pasadena City College and graduated the Emergency Medical Tech. Course (EMT). (His EMT card is # 11) In 1975 he again attended the Pasadena City College were he completed the Los Angeles County Paramedic Program.
In 1984 he joined the Los Angeles City Fire Department as a single function paramedic. Working all over the City of Los Angeles from Watts to Brentwood. He spent 4 years on Rescue Ambulance 100. This rescue also shared duties on the Air Ambulance helicopter. In 2004 he retired.

3 children – 4 grandkids – 3 horses – 1 donkey – 1 dog – 3 cats – 5 rabbits.
Now lives on a ranch outside Los Angeles in Acton California.
Hobbies include lots of golf, fishing and his 1963 Checker Marathon Wagon.
